On the 10th May this year (2017), I started on a journey. It's not really a journey that I intended to take, however, fate has set me on this journey; and I have absolutely no choice other than to follow it.
About seven to eight weeks before the 10th May, I had a sore tit! A sore right tit! Sore enough that I didn't want to take my bra off in the evening. Now, as most women know, there is nothing nicer than getting home in the evening and taking your bra off, slipping into nice comfy clothes...
Arrived at hospital for 09.10 scan - to be told that glucose isotope for the injection had failed a test: who knew! Apparently the isotope is made up in Guildford and then travels to my Bath destination
Luckily the second delivery of isotope late morning was ok to use. Me very hungry having had nothing since 6pm previous evening
Had the isotope injected around 11 o'clock and then waited for it to infiltrate - one hour to catch on reading - A Passage to India - somehow apt!
Painless...

Received a phonecall on Tuesday asking me to come back for a review. I was a bit confused because after having a biopsy the consultant I saw then discharged me, presuming I had dysfunctional bleeding.
I had a feeling it was going to be bad news but WOW...what a blow. Me being me, I accepted what I had been told and left....shellshocked of course. Leaflets in hand.

Drink lots of water, make sure all clothes are metal free (had to buy some ghastly joggers) get a book pile together

Today we are in the final week of a 5 week course of dexamethasone, which has helped with pain relief energy levels and poor appetite. But, her muscles are suffering, have to help her in and out of bath. May seriously need to look into walk in shower.

Hi everyone, confused and desperate, my husband has a really enlarged thyroid, front and sides, which seems to be growing every day. He is 53. And apart from stable prostate cancer, he is healthy.
