I didn't have as much actual sickness this time, although the nausea is still hanging around. What hit me most this time was the exhaustion, which I found depressing because I felt I wasn't coping as well as I expected - I have yet to learn that I must expect nothing with chemo!

I have used the cold cap both cycles so far and found it not too unpleasant. It didn't give me a headache and the coldness wasn't too uncomfortable.

I took my aprepitant tablet an hour before the appointment as instructed. I was more nervous and emotional than I thought I would be going to the hospital. I think this was the reason I came close to passing out when they put the cannula in. I was OK last time but this time I felt faint, then my hearing went and my sight was blacking out... Several nurses came over and afterwards they said they had been worried because my blood pressure was so low they couldn't get a reading! They put my feet up...
Hi, my husband has recently been diagnosed with grade 3/T1 bladder cancer with micropapillary variant and is having radical cystectomy on the 22nd August. We have had a lot to take in these past few weeks and my husband has now to decide before the 2nd August wether he would prefer reconstruction of the bladder/neobladder which we were told involves months of bladder training or having a stoma. Does anyone have any experience of either?-I'm just trying to get as much information on either to help...
My partner has been diagnosed with stomach cancer and he's got to have 3 cycles of exc chemo then have his stomach removed then more chemo after .hes on his first cycle and it's knocked him for six he's cannot eat or drink nothing due to feeling sick he's now in hospital with dehydration does his second cycle get better he's taken all the sickness tables but nothing is taking iit away x
Last year my dad who lives with my mum in France was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer and secondary cancer tumor to the brain. He had surgery to remove the brain tumor (also contracting meningitis) it was a terrifying experience with him in intensive care and behaviour changes. He then underwent chemotherapy for 5months, after that radiotherapy to the brain and lung. He was responding so well to the treatment despite he diagnosis, he had lost so much weight in intensive care but he had regained...
I had the ultrasound today. The kidneys are looking clear. That's a real relief. I have the op a week tomorrow. I will be happier when I know exactly what is what but I'm pretty optimistic. I'm adopting a ketogenic diet, its very much like the Mediterranean diet which is recommended for cancer. Get the bugger on as many fronts as possible is my plan
So it's 18 days post hysteroscopy and finally the consultant has received my histology results. The only catch is, she's not back at my local hospital until Thursday as she floats between the 3 near me. So it's unlikely I'll get a results letter until Monday or Tuesday next week (24th/25th).
So now I wait again in the hope that maybe she'll call me Thursday or Friday instead. Here's hoping...
so I'm now back to waiting, wondering and worrying myself sick. Let's hope...
Phew - home and waiting on hospital surgical consultant and my oncology consultant to agree next steps. Hospital guy after CT noticed that lymphoma much reduced but had exposed the small bowel that seemed to be ok but gave a suspicion of a fistula joining across a loop of bowel. But wasn't keen to operate - wait and see given bowels working daily, and obs in hospital were positive - my bowel coping
Will oncologist chemo guy agree 3rd Rchop tomorrow?

On 27-Sep my Wife (Von) & I attended the arranged appointment with us both being naturally, very apprehensive & extremely concerned what the diagnosis would be & whether the dreaded word was going to be a death sentence.
