    Fingers Crossed!!!
Hello, I've recently joined, and this is my very first blog, so i appologise in advance, im not quite sure what you are supposed to say!! My 25 year old youger sister was diagnosed with AML on 3rd of April 2009!! It still feels surreal to be writing that!! I think i've googled and read every possible site relating to it, (good and bad), but i still feel like i dont know nearly enough about it. I'm not quite sure what subtype she is, however i do know that chemotherapy is not going to work on its...

    Birthday.... Happy or sad??
Well, it is now 13th July and yesterday it was my birthday. It was also 19 weeks since my darling Ray relocated to heaven. It was a very difficult day as I kept becoming very tearful and didn't want to cry. My eldest son Stuart was with me for most of the day. When we got up, we had a bacon butty (I never eat breakfast normally). Then I went off to the Sunday church service and he went off on a practice run (he is doing the Snowdonia Marathon later in the year). Met my dad at church and he...

    Do I belong here now?
Hello my friends, I've been wondering, since I went into remission, whether it is appropriate for me to be in the chat rooms any more. The rooms are for patients and carers and although I have been both over the past few years, I am not any more. I suppose I should "get on with life now" which is exactly what my doctors have been telling me.

    Roller Coaster
Here we are at the beginning of week 3 of Chemo. I suppose generally everything is going great. We had a bit of a dip this weekend as everything hubby ate went straight through his system. I stopped juicing.... He's just not good at being ill probably because he's hardly been ill in his life. The past couple of days started off ok but then everytime he had a meal he developed cramps in his stomach (no nausea) and so although he had a good appetite he was put off eating as he knew he was going to...

    liver cancer
Hello, My dad has been told he has a 9cm mass on his liver and that there is no treatment he can have. He is still awaiting a biopsy. He has been told it is his choice if he wants to have a biopsy. He has been told that they suspect the cancer has come from the melanoma he had 18 months ago. How can they know that without him having a biopsy? I know My Mum is worried that having a biopsy could make my Dad feel unwell.....has anyone had one and can tell me how they felt afterwards ? Thankyou so...

    LOST
My husband passed away on the 23 June. We were fighting this battle together since last year November. Both of us being diagnose a month apart was'nt easy. He suffered so much, but his in a better place. Now I'm focusing on my health and my little children. God has carried me up till now, to care and nurse him at home, and He will carry me forward. I just miss him so so much

Our Wedding Anniversary [this should be happy, but feeling so sad]
Our Wedding Anniversary is on Tuesday 14th July and I know I should be feeling so happy. Especially as we have been together now for 32 yrs. It really now is hitting home that this time last year we hardly had a care in the world and now I feel that I am dreaming and I am going to wake up from this terrible dream my family and I are in, but no this is not going to happen. All along I have told people yes I understand what is happening and yes I am coping with everything, but now I am approaching...
