    Good news - long overdue!
Hi all, today we went for the results of my partners halfway ct scan, and the news was good! Shrinkage in all areas-the bowel tumor markedly so, so the plan is to give 2 more cycles of oxi and 5fu, then a break followed by another scan then-who knows? So why then is he in so much pain? Over the last 3 days he has been experiencing considerable pain in his bottom which even the morphine is not shifting-if the tumor has shrunk why this pain? Tols the oncologist and she didnt seem overly concerned...

    dealing with feelings
I have joined this site to talk to others who have had cancer. I've realised that although I have excellent support from my partner, I want to know how other people feel in a similar situation to me. I had a small tumour, with no spread to the lymph glands so the future looks good and I'm lucky. My treatment is finished , surgery (lumpectomy) and radiotherapy and I'm now on tamoxifen. I've been feeling ok these last few months, getting over the fatigue from the radiotherapy, but I have not returned...

    What Now -very true
I have recently had a further scan on the instructions of my Oncologist. I have been dreading chemo , but to my utter surprise the cancer has not progressed and he proposes no further ction for 3 months. I am also seeing a Urologist and althought he should agree he might consider removing the offending nodule and repair the hernia which I was left with after my nephrectomy. I do wonder if this will stir things up and will be interested in anybody else is a similar position

    First radiotherapy tomorrow.....
Well last week i had all my radiotherapy planning done, scans, simulator and tattooing, so now tomorow afternoon i am to have my first radiotherapy session. I have read lots about the treatment but i am still wondering what they will do with me when i get to the hospital. When i was on the couch having my little pinprick tattoos and my measuring done, (with the lights dimmed down!) i was thinking of all of you on the site that have gone through this before me and writing all the blogs........it...

    Newbie
Hi everyone, I'm a newbie to the site and I'm a 23 year old receptionist. I had a vulvectomy last week to treat vulval cancer and am now recovering at home. I'm due to get my final results on Friday so fingers crossed! I am keen to speak to anyone who has been through this operation or similar and to find out what life has been like afterwards, as I have quite a few concerns x

    Hi all
Hi everyone, thought I'd finally join in as my percentages took a nose dive yesterday from 2 yrs to 4 months, aparently even though my bowel and liver are now clear, the masses in my lungs have snuck up past the 1cm mark and have been counted. Still don't feel ill at all yet (apart from chemo sideaffects that is) so am looking on the bright side, and living each day to the full. Hopefully, in the next day or so will recount some ideas on all benefits that can be collected, as most websites only...
