I have recently had a further scan on the instructions of my Oncologist. I have been dreading chemo , but to my utter surprise the cancer has not progressed and he proposes no further ction for 3 months. I am also seeing a Urologist and althought he should agree he might consider removing the offending nodule and repair the hernia which I was left with after my nephrectomy.
I do wonder if this will stir things up and will be interested in anybody else is a similar position

Goodness. Now i know that i was a lucky one. I had my left kidney removed last year. The adrenal gland was also taken. I have had no chemo what so ever as they said that they got it all. Now you have me worried.. I am due for another CT scan which i have every 6 months.
I have little jabs in my left side now and then and i keep saying to myself that its all in my head.
Apart from that i am healthy and the only side affect is that i pee alot.

Hi Jill In July I had a routine scan but to my horror I was told that a nodule left on the kidney bed had started to grow and there were 2 other lesions. .I am having a bone scan later this month and if that is ok the nodule and lesions will be removed. What is worse my best friend invited my wife and I as his guest on a Mediterranean Cruise over Xmas. I asked the surgeon if there was a chance I would be ok after an op but very quickly he advised against it.
