    good mood

im in such a positive mood today.  hoping i can rub it off to my friends and family.

lil man went back to school yesterday and he loved.  He is still on his chemo and is doing extremely well with this block.

He is so amazing. To look at him you would think he is a normal 8 year old.  But if you pay attention to detail you can tell he is not well.

The doctors are amazed with how well he is doing they have increased his time scale to  12-16 months now. So thats something good at least.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET THE RESULTS OF A SCAN!

Mum is doing well considering what she has been through and going through.  She went for a scan a week ago and we have heard nothing since then, and as we were told she had 3/6 weeks to live and 4 of these weeks have gone by, surely they would let us know asap what is going on.  If anything with home care Mum seems a lot better she has put on weight and is managing to walk a little, the nurse comes in every day, but is she really as sick as they say, she seems to think she is okay, can anyone please...

    A Strange New World
When my wife died very suddenly and unexpectedly from cancer the world looked different the next morning. Nothing had changed but the world and everything in it looked different to me. I remember looking up at the sky and the sky looked different. It looked enormous and I felt lost as though I was the only person left on the earth.
The world is lovely, but most things mean little to me now. I feel like I'm sitting behind a glass wall, looking at the world but feeling nothing

I am a very proud mum.

Yesterday our younger daughter, Claire, and a five of her friends cycled twenty-five mile on a sponsored ride for the June Hancock Mesothelioma trust.

They have raised over two thousand pounds, and the money is still coming in.  A fantastic effort from six ladies who normally get together to eat and drink and relax.  Not to be left out nine of their children, ages ranging from five to eleven joined them for stages of the ride. They were supported every step of the way (should that be every turn of...

    That's What I'm Feeling Right Now - Part V
    Hi Y'all,

I got mail today advertising some lovely cruises. I would love to book a cruise with my husband or go back to America with him like we did just before he got sick.

We had the honeymoon last year that we didn’t take when we were first married ten years ago. He got sick two weeks after we got back. It was a wonderful trip the best time either of us ever had. It was the first trip we had taken for just the two of us. Usually, our holidays were centred on the kids and visiting family....

    What a life!

Well this year has whizzed by.  Despite feeling quite yucky I have managed to keep my art demonstration schedule, spend two weeks holiday in Malta and lead a party of 12 artist friends on a painting trip to France (we won`t mention to rude ditty written by my friends to the tune of `Oh dear what can the matter be?`

Anyway ultrasound scan, followed by colonoscopy (he didn`t see my best side - honest!) and CT scans lead to a swift admission to hospital 5 weeks ago and a right hemi-whateveritiscalled...

    ''30 things for turning 30''

I will be turning 30, believe it or not lol, lots dont ;-) on Christmas day.  I say believe it or not because I do look young for my age...the youngest I have got is 17!!! Anyway I was going to have a mad bash to celebrate but seeing as its Christmas it has proved difficult to arrange.  So my friend and I came up with this fab idea of doing 30 things to celebrate turning 30 which I am going to do throughout 2011.  I know this is shallow when you look at the bigger picture which is my life but I am actually...

    My Kids are Amazing!!

Both kids back to school now, Grace into year 10 (starts her GCSE's) and James into the sixth form, I feel so old!!!!!

They never cease to amaze me, its been a tough year for all of us but they have, at such a young age, really so supportive and just wonderful!  James did really well in his exams in May even though having to hear me throwing up after chemo and trying to revise and making sure I was alright bless him.  I know I'm rambling but wanted to write these thoughts down.  Grace has been...
