It all started when I went out with my Friends for "pie and a pint" in Leeds one afternoon. Very enjoyed my pie and pint, but remember feeling it would not go down. Felt like my oesophagus was just jammed somehow, frinds were amused when I complained that said pie was "stuck in my oesophagus, pretty soon after I vomitted outside the RC Cathedral of St Anne's, what a disgrace I was for a good Catholic Girl( knew something was up and had only had one beer....

I am sitting typing this cosied up on the sofa with Rocky after having walked the little blighter in what felt like -20C. What a wuss I am! It wasn't of course but there was a heck of biting wind blowing against us. Good job we treated Rocky to a new coat which he got early rather than at Christmas!
The last month has been very strange in lots of ways. Lots of ups and downs and people not really knowing what to do or say or act! I'm feeling in limbo as I'm trying so hard to be fair and kind...
Sunday afternoon and finally I get to catch up on here as i've only managed to read friends statuses a few times last week.
Anyone who knows me on the site will also know my dad isn't coping well after falling whilst dog walking. Well he fell again on Monday but wasn't hurt. Then two more falls at home one of which was in the night and my poor mum tried to struggle with him for two hours 'cos she didn't want to disturb us. In the end she phoned me upset and we went out to put him back...
After being taken off Sonaferib and Panazofib (sorry for the spelling) due to extreme reactions my dad has been put on Sutent as the consultant has said the effects should be less with the exception of a sore mouth. I have read some blogs which say about not being able to eat in weeks 3 & 4 I am unsure of what the effects are and what to look out for. Would anybody be able to help? Dad has secondaries in his lungs, shoulder, elbow and thumb and has swelling in his foot. His left hand has also...
Have just been typing an update for the blog for the last half hour and don't know what happened but it disappeared!!!!
My hands and arms are aching too much to do it again so will try again later.
Hope everyone is as well as can be expected. I know I haven't been around much over the last month and I promise to catch up with you all as soon as these old arms of mine will allow me to do so.

well as my status says good n bad news, went in today for my results and muggins that i am, i listened to the blather, love that word BLATHER, about how things were on the books for an operation. What books they been reading god only knows, but i bet they had washable, chewable and suitable for 2-5yr olds on.........sorry feeling bitter.

There are only 3 days left of Radio Therapy. We will go to see the Oncologist in January, but what will happen after that? The chemotherapy he had first did not shrink the tumour, and then he was in Hospital after the 3rd. He has 10 of his 13 days of Radio Therapy. He will not be having an operation, yet my husband keeps mentioning the word remission... To be in remission you have to be free of Cancer ddont you? and I dont think that will happen. The forms he signs are always .... To control....
...It is with deep sadness and regret to let you know Mo passed away suddenly at St Michaels Hospice on Sunday 20th November 2011. As you all know Mo was a very big part of my life and for everyone who has been following my blog throughout, a tiny part of your lives. She has left a massive hole in both her family and friends lives and over time our memories of Mo will very slowly repair that void that she has left. I would like to personally thank all the Nursing staff and Doctors at St Michaels Hospice...
