    Tonight I am very angry, so angry I dont know where to start.

    My husband was supposed to have a cafeter in yesterday, when I left today he still hadnt got one.

    He was soaking wet and had been for some time when I got there. He is semi-awake, sometimes he trys to get a bottle but doesnt manage.

    Because he is very uncomfortable to be moved around, he is naked lying on his bed with just a sheet over him. He is in and out…

  • Getting nearer to end of treatment and what then?

    There are only 3 days left of Radio Therapy. We will go to see the Oncologist in January, but what will happen after that? The chemotherapy he had first did not shrink the tumour, and then he was in Hospital after the 3rd. He has 10 of his 13 days of Radio Therapy. He will not be having an operation, yet my husband keeps mentioning the word remission... To be in remission you have to   be free of Cancer ddont you? and I…

    Tomorrow, my husband may be home!

    I know for some people on this site, 17 days is not very long in Hospital, but right now I feel it has been a long time. After 14+ days on a drip and then 2 blood transfusions he could be on his way home. Fingers, toes everything I can is crossed....

    He has been marked up ready for Radio and after 2 weeks TLC at home we will be off daily for treatment.

    My Respect for him has grown…

  • THE START OF OUR NEW LIFE

    Our new life started one day in June 2011, when my husband decided to visit his doctor about night sweats and a slight but constant cough. He was sent for a chest x-ray and by the Monday of the next week we were summoned to the surgery and told there was a shadow on his right lung. An appointment would be made to see a Consultant.

     Our planned Summer Holiday was put on hold and we spent the next 3 weeks on odd days out…
