by the way,forgot to mention,the bloody cat got diagnosed with two types of breast cancer the day before mums first chemo,and he got put down.
a friend we know is foreign and before it happened he told us that cats in his country are given to very ill people,the cat then takes on the persons illness and goes away to die.the person then becomes well.

so i discovered today i have forgotten how to converse unless it involves cancer.
had my first social club get together,.it was an epic fail with only 3 people turning up and me not able to stop talking about cancer.
i could hear myself and was thinking shut up ! but couldnt stop myself. poor guests must of thought i was mental.
John's feeling good today after his suped-up chemo from yesterday. Bright as button, really, which is incredible knowing how many people suffer so badly most of the time. He wants to go out for a drink tonight. I don't. My solicitor called and said I have to be in court (5 hours' drive away from here) on Tuesday morning. Pretty short notice, definitely. I'm so angry. None of us need this right now. Why can't the ex's parents just be nice, normal people? They are aware of the situation here...
I use computers all day every day but have never really been into 'blogging', 'facebook' etc, so this is a new venture for me.
On Wed I had a colonoscopy and was told immediatly that I had bowel cancer. Not sure If I'm still in shock or not. Don't know much else other than I have to have a CT scan in the coming weeks to see if its spread elsewhere. Have to admit I'm a scared 52 year old
My brave John has had his 3rd chemo today; 15% stronger (the max allowed for dacarbazine) as he tolerated the other doses so well, symptom-wise. He's also started new anti-convulsants which are helping him sleep through the steroids.
Yesterday, GP said she'd spoken to oncology and they've decided to keep him on the stronger steroids until he's on a stronger dose of the new anti-convulsants. Yet today, while we were in the hospital, we got a message relayed from oncologist saying to start decreasing...
Had my op for bowel cancer May 4th am on my rest week from my first course of chemotherapy tablets, two weeks on one week off. Go on thurs for my next course, but, have got runny poos, didnt start till begining of rest week, (thought I had got away with it!) the tablets stop it but you have to 'go' dont you? so what do you do? dont take them a couple of days a week to have a clear out or what? We have just found out that our mum has got cancer of the gullet. They are unable to give mum the course of radio therapy and chemo that they intended to because mums kidneys are not good enough to deal with it. She has been on blood pressure tablets that have effected her kidneys. They can only offer 10 days of mild radiotherapy. They have also taken mum off the blood pressure tablets to see if her kidneys improve at all. She has got what they call a junction cancer it is at the bottom of her gullet...
doc put me on new meds yesterday and im so tired and weak i cant function.mum ended up doing most the work today and i feel awful.this will be a short post as not much to say.mums feeling very well today thank god,
After being he would have his op within 2 to 3 weeks because it is a rare aggressive cancer that spreads fast, we finally have a date to see the consultant, 4 weeks after being diagnosed. with an op a few days later. Misdiagnosis is common apparently because it is so rare. He has already had CT scan which was clear, MRI and Bone showed a small blip, which could be scar tissue or the SSS as i have named it. depending on what they find will determine treatment. from the 18th of april till today,the 15 th of july, ive not only found out that both my parents have cancer but have have found tenants to take my brand new lease,moved out of my flat,swapped my furniture for a new desktop computer,moved mum into her bigger house and moved myself in with her,said goodbye to all my friends,quit my two part time jobs-both volunteer, watched mum be biopsied,diagnosed,operated on and started chemo,lose her hair and shaved mine off...
