so i discovered today i have forgotten how to converse unless it involves cancer.

had my first social club get together,.it was an epic fail with only 3 people  turning up and me not able to stop talking about cancer.

i could hear myself and was thinking shut up ! but couldnt stop myself. poor guests must of thought i was mental.

  • Hi Bubalugs.Well at least three people made an effort to turn up so all is not lost.Sometimes we don't like to talk about cancer and make every effort to change the conversation when it is brought up other times there is a need to unload it all which can help us feel better but maybe not for those on the receiving end.There are people we meet who avoid the subject and also dodge someone with cancer and there are the nosy ones and the genuine concerned ones.Guess we have to take it as it comes.So if you needed to talk about it then why not and if people think you are mad it doesn't really matter.Must say though you made me laugh at your exploits.If you have another get together I hope more turn up Huge hugs Cruton xxx
