    Thought I'd start my blog
I have been reading other people's entries and realised that maybe I should start my own. It's not about me but my Mother-in-law - just diagnoised. The appt on Monday 22nd didn't really go well , found out that her only hope is Chemo. I think deep down I knew this as I work in a hospital and the cons were I work has been really helpful, arranging CT, Bone scans and inserting chest drains. My Hubby is holding up well, he broke down yesterday when he told me that she was upset as she wouldn't see our...

    hairy legs
Who would ever have thought that discovering you had hairy legs again 8 weeks after end of chemo could give you so much joy! Not just whispy mind you but they look like an italian footballers legs lol. The hair there was the last to go after chemo (head being first) and first to sprout back with avengence and dark dark brown to boot. Now i can enjoy the girlie things again like shaving them and feeling normal. The hair on the unmentionables is coming back too also dark dark and growing well beyond...

Time for celebration, and a new year
I would like to wish all my Buddies, and all those who I have had the great fortune to meet these past few months, a wonderful time over this holiday period. It has dawned on me as we reach the closing of this year - achieving almost a year of remission - how lucky I am, and all of us are, who have this time to celebrate our lives with our family and friends, and especially our children. Time with my daughter is a celebration of itself, no matter what the new year brings or how many more Christmases...

time to sign out i think
a massive THANK YOU to everyone on here who have helped me so much since my diagnoses in March 08, on the help through chemo and surgery. Only rads to go now on 5th Jan and of course the arimidex i am taking for next 5 years. You are all stars, are strong and wonderful people. However, i find myself getting so angry with people who post on here who claim organic and vitamins are proved to have cured their cancers. I know i should ignore them but we are all desperate and will try anything to help...

    tired today
My darling hubby with some persuasion from me went to a party last night, and came home just fresh enough to spend the whole night snoring and talking in his sleep. I nearly sent for his much threatened Thai bride my self, let her put up with him.LOL.Anyway the up shot is that I've been tired all day,due to lack of sleep. Still he deserved a night off, and I've had all day and I've got all night to recouperate before my grandchildren, who have travelled all the way from Germany arrive tomorrow, with...
