Everything is ready for the big day, can't wait, daughter-in-law will be home with our grandchildren, and the whole family will be going out for christmas lunch, about 20 of us in total. Should be a grand day, and then of course its my birthday a week later, so more celebrations, lots to live for, got to reach the big 50 yet, that will be a celebration and a half, if my lot have anthing to do with it, but got to keep going for a...

    Side affects of treatment.
Ok I had Chemo every three weeks from the end of August until the end of October, no problems at all, just lost my hair, no big deal, they gave me a lovely blonde wig at the hospital. Chemo worked great, then went on to have Radium, SCLC is a sneeky little devil that can get in the brain, where the Chemo can't go, so of I went and had five treatments to my brain, and guess what, it just go's to show you get away with nothing in this life, I seem to have got every single side affect they said I could...

    END OF CHEMO
Hello all, haven't logged on in ages. Have had the last of my Chemo now three weeks ago. My nails are killing me one has actually lifted. Saw the Consultant who has said that the tumour has shrunk from 4cm to 2cm. The worrying thing is that they have confirmed that it is in a gland in the armpit but hasn't gone anywhere else. Has anyone else had a tumour in a gland and not in the breast and is this still classed as breast cancer? I have got to go and see him again tomorrow to get the decision on...

    Starting Chemotherapy Soon
Hi Everyone I was diagnosed with colon cancer 5 weeks ago. As a fit, 39 year old mum with no family history of this disease, the news came as quite a shock to me which I am still not over. Since then, I have had surgery to remove the tumour and I have recovered well from the operation. The cancer was graded as Stage III with 3 lymph nodes involved. I am having a port-a-cath inserted into my chest next week and am due to start six months of fortnightly chemotherapy on December 29. I am quite nervous...

Breat Cancer, TAC Regime and Hair Loss
I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer on 3rd November and since then life has become a rollercoaster of hospital appointments and information. I have had a masectomy and received my results on the 4th December when I was told it was grade 3 cancer and that 18 out of the 20 lymph nodes removed contained cancer cells. I was advised I will need Chemo Therapy, radiotherapy and then Herceptin. The Chemo is to be the TAC regime. I have also had a bone scan and CT Scan, the results of which I will get...

    I'm losing my mum
A month ago my mum was diagnosed with cancer in her kidney. She made out to me like everything was going to be alright. They would just remove the kidney. Then yesterday she dropped the bombshell that the cancer is too far developed and has reached into her lungs and there is not much more they can do for her. They're not sure how long she has to live. Is there really nothing they can do? Can't they cut the cancer out and give her a transplant or something? There must be something they can do....
