    yet another worry!
hi all. my partner was first dx with bowel cancer 5 years ago, he had op and was considered cured. unfortunately it has now reoccurred with secondaries in the liver, unoperable but treatable. we have just looked at our paysafe insurance policy to cover mortgage payments and it says they will not pay out if this illness is related to an illness we knew about at the time of taking out the policy. well we did know about and declared it and at the time of taking out the policy he was all clear. however...

I am sure others would appreciate reading your stories also. For instance, our family and friends praise us on our attitude to all that is happening at the moment and cannot understand how we are keeping so upbeat, our answer to this is: . If we were down and in...

Hi, I've recently been advised of a Brain Tumor and been advised it would help to put my thoughts down - i I ramble, I apologise
Hi It all started very recently, I was not feeling myself about 5 weeks ago, I took 4 days off work, then went into the office and had a Seizure. After visiting two hospitals for EEGs ECGs and MRI's I came home from the last MRI to find 2 policemen waiting at my front door advising me to get back to the hospital at once and gave me a number to call. I must admit, I couldn't even dial the number my hand was shaking so much. I got back on the train and went back to the hospital, I was advised...

    Red Badge of Courage
Hi GuyThis is my first blog so bear with me. A local singer wrote this song when his wife was diagnosed with breast cancer, it was played on our local radio yesterday as pat of the fundraising for Race for Life which takes place in Belfast on 31st May. I have substituted the word"lady" to sister and modified some of the other words to suit, as those of you who know me and my sister Liz on chat will understand why. I hope you like it, but it is to all of yo people out there who are bravely fighting...

what has happened to this site
I joined this site about a year ago when i was first diagnosed with breast cancer. It was a lifeline to be able to speak to so many wonderful people about the practical matters that so worried me. As a patron of alternative and complimentary therapies life long I was so scared having cancer I had no hesitation following the conventional chemo.surgery/radiation route as after all, now out the other side, it has saved my life. I was diagnosed with stage 3 that had spread into my lymph nodes. I...

    Waiting
I've just had my MRI, Chest X-Ray and Bloods and now I am waiting again. Its this bit that is more exhausting than anything else. I just want to know what is going to happen. Will I have my fertility saved or won't I? I feel scared when I am positive, guilty when I forget, angry when I remember and lonely when I think. Everyone has told me to stay positive and I know they are right but it's hard when your future happiness and chances of a family are drifting..... I know I will get through this...
