    Feeding Peg
Hi All, Anyone had any experience of having a feeding PEG fitted? My mum has stage 2B cancer of the gullet and was fitted with one after radiotherapy finished. Wondered if anyone else has been through this, she's finding it hard to adjust to it. Any advice would be great. Thanks Jen x

Diagnosed last week with breast cancer. Biopsy after biopsy and now more as I found a lump on the other breast which was not found with either mammogram or ultrasound. Could it have spread to the brain?
Hi My mum has sclc and we know it has started to spread to her adrenal glands and liver. In the last few days she has complained of hearing funny noises. She says it sounds like a washing machine in her head, then yesterday she woke up with a searing headache behind her right eye and the right side of her head. Do you think this could be the start of a spread to the brain? Does anyone have experience of lung cancer spreading to the brain? Thanks for reading. Claire xx

    LIFE-SAVING CHEMO, LIFE-THREATENING SIDE EFFECTS
The past 10 days have been a nightmare and never before have we faced chemotherapy side effects of such proportions. My son had to be confined for platelet transfusion and just in the nick of time as we found out that his platelet count had plunged to 17 (thousand) and even dipped to a low of 6 (thousand) putting him in grave danger of spontaneous bleeding. The days became a frantic, desperate race against time to transfuse the platelets and also to find the needed amount of the right blood type...

The first tax was... not so taxing....
Well it is that time of the month when I have returned from my latest chemo session and on this occasion ... there is not much to tell! My blood results were good on Friday which meant today could go ahead. The other pre-requisite was taking 3 sets of tablets (more steroids) in advance to help guard against an allergic reaction, vomiting and fluid retention. The great news is that for the first time in a treatment session the nurse managed to access the port first time - woohoo! The treatment...

    Its kind of everywhere??
Firstly I just wanted to thank all of you wonderful people out there who posted such lovely messages to me last night. It really means so much to know there is so much support...I in turn wish you all the best too!! So I had my oncology appointment and the results are a little different to what I expected but I suppose thats how it will be from here on in, unpredictable! The PET showed that my liver is fine (YAY) but that I have quite extensive lymph node involvement. More so than first thought...
