    This is a Cancer Website

I have never posted a blog before, today I am because I am so outraged by what I have been reading in the blogs today. I am posting this in support of those of us who are sick to the back teeth of the actions of a thoughtless few who day after day continue to post Jokes (although most of them barely qualify as that they are so pathetic and crass). I am absolutely appalled at the behaviour of some people and their nastiness towards others here, and don't for a moment believe comments like ...

    Chuffed today!
Morning all. My internet went off early last night (boo). It's back now (hurray). Kids set off for Leeds Festival at about 8.30("C'moooon, Dad!" - OH is late for just about everything - drives the rest of us nuts) and won't be back til Monday night. They'll sleep all day Tuesday so I should see them Wednesday afternoon... Their English GCSE results arrived just after they left - A and A*! I'm so pleased for them cos there was no home-edding going on for 2 months at all after my diagnosis in January...

    Carcinoid
As you will see from my profile I am recently diagnosed with carcinoid. I have now had my bone scan done but still dont have an appt with the oncologist. I really feel this is so unfair, your all stressed out as it is, then they keep you hanging around. Wonder what it is in my thyroid probably carcinoid, but it seems I have to hang around again to find out. Sorry feeling rather sorry for myself at the moment. Take care all xx

    Jokes

Emm.......I thought the jokes were supposed to be in a different place? Iv just read a heartbreaking post from a member who has lost their wife, and on the same page no less than 7 (?) jokes! Not in the best of taste really. I am not a prude i just dont think these jokes should be on the homepage with all the others.

Take good care everyone X

lost our lovely mum to ovarian cancer
we lost mum on 3rd May, she had battled ovarian cancer since june 2006, it went to her brain in july 2008 it's so hard i don't know how we will learn to live without her, the pain is too much too endure sometimes. She was so brave and always stayed so positive and never gave up hope, she never told us how ill she was or complained, she died 3 days after her 61st birthday.

    Surgery
Hi Mum saw the surgeon today an appointment she should have had last week to meet him. They have told her that they plan for her to finish this regime of chemo and have one more then they plan to operate on her in about 6/8 weeks time. They explained that she will have two thirds of her esophagus removed and one third of her stomach removed and then that her stomach will be moved to meet the remaining part of her eosphagus. They said she will be in hospital for 10 to 14 days and then recovery...
