    Your chariot awaits, ma'am...
Never got round to writing this weekend and can't remember much now so, in no particular order - kids know what they're doing this week; went to the gig they'd promoted themselves on Saturday night (couldn't not go in the end :) I ended up 'doing the door' which i haven't done for a while. My faculties were tested by having to give out change and glo-sticks; stamping hands; drawing a star on the other hand if they were over 18 (for the bar); working out whether the ID shown meant...

    New to all this!
Hello, I'm very new to all this - double diagnosis of breast cancer and lymphoma six weeks ago and now two and a half weeks after my mastectomy. Feeling a little lost but coming back up.

Today has been a very good day.
Hi all. Operation went as well as could be expected but looks like I have some lymph node involvement too. Hopefully won't be too long until I can go and have them out too and get on with things. Came home yesterday complete with drains and a lovely flowery bag to keep them in. Everyone calls them my smoothie bottles. Have allready been back to the hospital today as I pulled one of them off my suction bottle and had to go and have it replaced. I keep getting up and forgetting that I am attached...

    CANCER CANNOT........
CANCER IS SO LIMITED..... IT CANNOT cripple love.. IT CANNOT shatter hope... IT CANNOT corrode faith... IT CANNOT eat away peace IT CANNOT destroy confidence... IT CANNOT kill friendship... IT CANNOT shut out memories... IT CANNOT silence courage... IT CANNOT reduce eternal life... IT CANNOT quench the spirit... Author unknown I read this on an American cancer site i go on...just thought i'd share it with you all.

    A lump's progress....
Well this week has had it's up and downs. On Wednesday I went for my long awaited appointment with the consultant oncologist to discover what thoughts he had about my enlarged lymph node. I got to the hospital early, as I always do, and was the only person in the waiting room. Sat down and read a magazine, the usual out of date ones! My heart sank when the same registrar I saw 3 weeks ago (the one that couldn't decide on a course of action without speaking to her boss) called me through to the...

    Feeling Guilty again
Hi all AGAIN, I should have added to my last blog which I have just sent that I am feeling awful tonight. My husband (told this before so sorry to repeat) is having problems with his "working out" memory and has mood swings (sometimes like an aggressive drunk) and when he goes to bed which is sometimes early evening he knocks on the floor for me to come up as he cant work out the remote control on the TV. Thsi will happen LOTS of times. Because I was tired I kind of jokingly said Im going to take...
