michael, my brightness on dark days
Although I've been remission for 19months now, the fear of the cancer returning often comes back to bite me on the bum, big time! When it does I think of my nephew Michael and it comforts me so much! He was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer and his outlook was not good, 15years old, his parents were devastated! Michael under went an 8 hour operation were the surgeons managed to remove just over 90 percent of the tumor, he then spent weeks in intensive care very very poorly! Chemotheraphy...

Im a husband whose wife is undergoing treatment for breast cancer, are there any more out there like me?
My wife has had a lumpectomy and nodes taken out, After two weeks on our visit back to the hospital to seei if the operation was successful, thedoctor told us that the operation was a success and her breast and nodes were clear of cancer. She was to have radiation treatment and no need for chemo. We were both overjoyed with this news and it felt like the big black cloud had started to disperse out of our lives. The doctor gave my wife the date of our next appointment which was to discuss dates and...

    Hi all.
Hi all, My mum has just been diagnosed with Breast cancer. She first found the lump 2 weeks ago and was sent to the hospital for tests where they found a second lump. We have found out today that it has spread to the lymph nodes and an operation is set for the 16th September. I'm not really sure what I'm trying to say to be honest as I feel that I'm sounding selfish as it's my mum going through it. There are so many questions I want to ask her but am scared of coming over as insensitive as she...

    Try again
Hello everyone. Thank you to all the people who very kindly left lovely, warm, snuggly comments and made me cry. You know who you are and it's good to be sharing the journey with so many others. (If we have to be making it at all!) Did try to answer personally but computer literacy not up to the task - as you can see from the previous attempt at a blog!) It's going to get rough I can hear you all sigh! Lots of love Dx

It's great to know you're all out there. love and hugs.
