day by day

Less than one minute read time.
We are now into the second cycle of Dad’s chemo, he is still remaining mentally strong but physically is more tired each day. We have had some lovely times together, trips to the shops and lovely meals. Today is my middle niece’s first day at school, so her and her sister are coming to Dad’s for tea tonight, he may not see there first day back next year so I will make it special and take lots of pictures so they can remember the day. Dad has his CT scan on 17th September, he is feeling nervous and so am I

  • Hi Sam

Mental strength can be so important and you dad is probably doing much better because of it, I know it has helped me deal with and manage my treatment and not everyone is blessed with it, though I know we would trade it in to be free of this disease.

You certainly are making life as good as it can be and I am sure your dad will be pleased and proud of you.

Long may you have happy days and treasured memeories.

Don't be too worried about the scan they just need to know if the treatment is making a difference so it may be good news, I hope it is.

    Best wishes

Hope it all goes well for dad. My mum has Lung Cancer, and has just had her first go at Chemo. Her treatment is three weeks apart, very weak, sick a lot as well. Bloody hard to watch somone, go down hill as well. I'm an only child, my dad has been her main carer, as I have to work. I have found this site a big help, only just logged on, after looking on here for weeks

Good luck, my thoughts and prayers are with you.
