Well its finally here today is the day I get my results. I am feeling eerily calm (dont know if thats a good or bad sign) but I guess I am just grateful that the waiting game is now over and I can finally get out of this twilight zone.
I will post to you all when I get back.
Hope you all have a good day.
take care Love Terri xxx
ps thanks for message Christine xx
Hi jus looking for some support and advice. My darling mum had breast cancer 2 years ago and had a masectomy and treatment. In March this year she had a fit at home whilst (thank God) we were with her and she was taken to hospital. After tests she was told that the cancer had spread to her brain, bones and liver.
Mam has just finished 6 cycles of chemo for the liver which the dr has stopped for the time being as it has hit her very hard. She's unable to move her legs and her arms are losing strength...
I am really angry to read that my local hospital is getting a new cancer ward for private patients when some patients have to travel to London for their treatment. i feel that life savinf treatment should be the same for everyone x
I haven't been on here for quite some time but I wanted to say that my lovely dad lost his fight on 15th July. To say that there isn't and hour, minute or second that I don't think of him or miss him terribly is an understatement. The whole family was with him on his final day with mum and I spending a week with him all day and nearly all night. It was so quick and really out the blue that he was losing his fight.
The staff at Marie Curie were amazing and made dad really comfortable...
I have been very worried about my husband these past few days, he seems less well to me. When we moved to Wales six months ago he
was fine, but a week later he started to limp, and seemed in pain. This
went on for about a week and he decided to visit the doctor. anyway
to cut a long story short she sent him for an x ray and when the results
came back the doctor said he had OSTROARITHRITAS in his hip,she
gave him some medication for the pain and that was it. As the weeks
went by his pain was...
It all starts with the ultimate treat.....Im allowed a lie in (heaven) then woken with a coffee and ginger nut, Finally deigned to get up about 9.30 and was met half way down the stairs by my 3 yr old singing Happy Birthday then asking rather anxiously if he could share my birthday with me.
I was presented with flowers, books, smellies, foot creams, cd's, personalised towels and from my sister in law the cutiest little box shaped like a bag with 3 healing stones inside (that made me cry) and my...
prognosis 6 to 10 weeks....14 weeks ago.
We have our own business, lots of hard work, a partnership business of over 20 years, its been a long and somewhat pointless struggle.....
Liz still comes to work, to manage her position as practice manager she is the up-front face with a smile.....its still there, but oh so much pain behind it.
She would rather be at work than at home, although her steroidel moon face and nipped brow say different.
My constant eye trained on her every move, I know that...
Well mum goes into hospital tomorrow. She has been great up until today but was very weepy today - understandably so.
She isn't afraid of the operation to remove the rest of her lymph nodes but of the results approx a week later, which we are all dreading.
How will we cope if she gets bad results - it will be so hard not to break down in front of her and this will not make her feel any better.
I have been practising in my head how I will deal with bad news but as you know nothing prepared...
I am still trying to get the hang of this site. I am not always sure how to get where I want when I want. I am not always responding to wonderful friends in a timely fashion...if at all. Seems I stumble upon pages more often than actually knowing where I want to go and then just click a button and get there. Seems I have to search around a bit to find the pages and buttons. I am not sure if it is just me, the chemo brain or what...
I am also not sure why I need to know how many times we post...is...
