Mum into Hospital Tomorrow (if a bed available)

Less than one minute read time.

Well mum goes into hospital tomorrow.  She has been great up until today but was very weepy today - understandably so.

She isn't afraid of the operation to remove the rest of her lymph nodes but of the results approx a week later, which we are all dreading.

How will we cope if she gets bad results - it will be so hard not to break down in front of her and this will not make her feel any better.

I have been practising in my head how I will deal with bad news but as you know nothing prepared you for the real thing.

My husband is away with work today for a week so it is going to be mad trying to get the kids organised going to the hospital.  Mum says not to worry about going to see her but I just could not go, Seeing her helps me as much as it helps her IYKWIM.

Right better sign off and get dinner on.

  • Hi Kate

Had my lymph nodes removed the same time as mastectomy as node biopsy showed cancerous cells. Had chemo and radio after and am ok 18 months later and awaiting reconstructive surgery.

Wish your Mum the best of luck from me.

    Love
