New to this!

Less than one minute read time.

Hi jus looking for some support and advice. My darling mum had breast cancer 2 years ago and had a masectomy and treatment. In March this year she had a fit at home whilst (thank God) we were with her and she was taken to hospital. After tests she was told that the cancer had spread to her brain, bones and liver.

Mam has just finished 6 cycles of chemo for the liver which the dr has stopped for the time being as it has hit her very hard. She's unable to move her legs and her arms are losing strength too. She's hardly eaten a thing for weeks now - not sure if she's going to get stronger or if this is how it will be. My parents are being very protective of both me and my brother and I'm not sure if they're telling us the whole story. I  wanted to come onto this site just to share this difficult time with someone else who sadly is going through it too.

Last time mam bounced back from the chemo relatively quickly - I'm hoping and praying she will this time too.

Should have said that mam has also had radiotherapy for the brain tumours which at the start of August the oncologist wa very pleased with as he said they had responded to treatment.

    Hi Lyne,

sorry to hear your mum is having to battle this dreadful disease again.  I too have Breast Cancer and it has spread to the same places as your mum, most recently the Brain.  Its not easy to deal with and if you need a chat at all then feel free to PM me anytime.  I hope your mum picks up soon and gets back on the chemo, liver and bone mets can be treated very well!

    Thinking of you

    Indie xx
