Endometriam Cancer Grade 111C; coping with low survival rate info

Wondering how women with Papillary Serous Adencarcinoma with clear cells Grade 111C cope with the poor survival rate they read about when they look it up on the internet?  At the moment it seems there's a 33% chance of survival for us.  Is this your reading? Has it improved? Would like to know more!

I tend to not automatically believe I will be the lucky 1 in 3.  What kind  of presumtious thinking is this:

"Oh of course it's going to be me. I'm so special, so strong, I know how to do this!...

    Hello All

I had my Ivor Lewis on the 22nd June 2009, diagnosed on the 17th April, no one could complain about that, it started with me having hiccups and having problems swallowing after eating. My wife kept telling me to go to see the doctor’s but I wouldn’t go until thing got bad. I collapsed at work and was taken to hospital in an Ambulance. The doctor said it was probably an hiatus hernia and a endoscopy would confirm. It didn't and further tests would be needed, full body scan and pep scan...

    Day 24 Bertiebassetts Return Journey

Everything still going well after Bert's scare last week. Long may it continue.

No change in his blood counts though so will still be in for a while yet. We are expecting to hear from The Beatson soon Re the Bone Marrow Transplant and when they expect it all to happen. We seem to spend our lives waiting (as do all of you too) for results or appointments.

    Swine Flu Vaccinations

    Normal 0

I've been to get my annual flu jab this morning.  I asked about having a swine flu jab while I was there and the nurse told me that the surgery had not received their allocation yet and when they did it would only be for 250 shots, apparently each person needs two.  My G.P. surgery has around 800 patients who have the annual flu jab and have now got the job of allocating the swine flu vaccine to the people that they consider need it most. Yet...

    5 days post op

It's a cold crisp day and the sun is shining in a perfectly blue sky. Inside our hospital room, Andrew continues to make progress. Today his bowel 'woke up' which meant he could have his first meal in 6 days - a small cup of chicken broth. He sipped it very slowly making it last as long as possible. The next hour proved pretty eventful - getting in or out of bed usually takes about 10 mins by the time you have unplugged the IV stand and untangled all the drip tubes and drainage bags and then there...

My friend has lost her battle.

I learned last week, that she has lost her battle with SCLC after a year. She was a unique individual that was very special to me. I will miss her a lot.

I'll miss this website too, as it's been a great place to rant once in a while, the ppl here are truly good. Thanks to all my friends, for being here.
