    Hi Dona,

Welcome I'm so glad you have found your way here. You will find lots of friends here, people who feel the way you do, and lots of support. There are people in the chat room who you can speak to. Do you know if you have to have further treatment? It is difficult to do this alone, so use this community for support. Never think you are on your own because you are not. Feel free to pm me if you want to....and try to put the drink on one side.... all it does is hide the reality.

  • Hi Donna

Welcome to the site. I had mastectomy April 08 followed by chemo and radiotherapy.

Are you going to have any more treatment?.

A glass of wine perhaps per day is fine but try and stick to 1 if you can.

I know you are scared stiff. We have all had those feelings.

You are not alone any more.

    Love

    Hello Donna

I had lumpectomy on 9th September now waiting for a date to start radiotherapy. I have found this site a great help and am sure you will.

    Best wishes

    Hi Donna

As the others said - welcome. Sorry you are doing this alone, it can be tough without people to talk to - so please send me a personal message.

I have a mastectomy in Oct 08, I live alone but do have family and I had good friends - some of whom I made on here... so I felt supported.  But when I say it can be tough I do know how it feels to be on your own.  But as Kath says you are not alone on here.

    Take care

    Hi Donna,

Lots of support here mate.  Drop into the chat room sometime, you'l make loads of friends.  Have a browse through for local MacMillan support groups too.  They often have local meets and stuff and you are bound to bump into loads of folks in similar circumstances.

Do try to limit the drink if you can mate.

    Take care,  Mike
