I need my Daddy home

Less than one minute read time.

Dad got worse on yesterday so we got him into hospital.  His lung tumour has grown!!!!!!!!!!!!  How!!!!!!!!!!!!!  We were told two weeks yesterday that it had shrank!!  They also say he has a infection on his lung.  Today he was in a very bad way and just begging me to get him home.

How do i get help from MacMillian to do this??

Sam so sorry to hear Dad's not doing so well.  Sometimes Macmillan have an office within the hospital, otherwise phone the number on this site.....they must be able to point you in the right direction at least.

  • Stay strong for him and like debbie says --the McMillian nurses are the best for advice.

    Good luck.

  • Hope you get the help and support you and your dad need, thinking of you both

    best wishes

Just to update you all - Dad was doing well until Tuesday - he had a fit at 18.00, then another at 2.00am.  I stayed over night with him last night to look after him in hospital and comfort him, he has picked up lots today.  The consultant said that they are from his brain mets - they have finally upped his steriods - i had been asking since saturday as Dad had been complaining of headache.

The man  (James) who was in the bed next to Dad only found out 4 weeks ago that the had cancer - same as Dad - lung and brain.  He passed away last night - it broke my heart thinking of his family - i had made friends with his daughter.

Tonight i will be praying for my Dad and that James in peaceful in heaven xxx
