After an eventful day finally got the little man into bed (hes full of cold so didnt offer too much resistance) and cooked our "celebration" meal which was everything I expected it to be. Dishwasher loaded and on and chill out time.....wrong. I could not get to sleep, tried half sitting, lying on my left a bit sor, lying on my right a bit sore, lying on my back totally unnatural, sitting bolt upright, and so began another night of no sleep. Even sky tv gets a bit crap once you enter into the wee...

We are related by marriage and she isnt a close family member but I am going to give her a call later to give her my love. All we know is she is having radiotherapy so hopefully everything is in its early stages and she has a good outlook. Also my aunt who I am quite close to has had problems with breast lumps throughout her life has just had a total duct excision, which I had on my remaining breast in January...

Hi everybody,
My nephew is going for his routine three monthly scans today. It's always a nervous time but when I spoke to my sister last night she told me he had been getting a bit breathless. Now very worried that the cancer has spread (he had a large synovial sarcoma removed from his thigh in Aug 08) as the next place it could go to would be his lungs. Feeling frightened.

Went back to work yesterday, a job my Mom hated me doing. Had an offer of a internal transfer and because life goes on I decided to start afresh & take the transfer. My current manager doesn't even seem that bothered that I'm going! So I'm so glad I decided to move on, my Mom would be so chuffed :-)
I had a very relaxing and peaceful time in Newfoundland. It is so beautiful there. It was exactly what I needed, a complete break. Now back to reality. It was very difficult to come home to an empty house. Today I decided I can't look at Dan's empty chair in the living room so am rearranging all the furniture. I will still see the chair but in a different spot so hope that will make it a bit easier. I do feel somewhat stronger but am still very emotional and couldn't think of going to work...

With all the best intentions in the world, had a lovely relaxing bath and settled down to get a good nights sleep..........4,30 am and I am still awake.
When hubby woke me just wanted to tell him to cancel the appointment and leave me in bed, but managed to drag myself out and get going. Got to the hospital 10 minutes early then had a 40 minute wait. My consultant wasnt there today but I was seen by one of his crew (very nice man) who I had seen on the ward the day after my operation. He explained...
