I'm a bit frightened....

Less than one minute read time.

Hi everybody,

My nephew is going for his routine three monthly scans today.  It's always a nervous time but when I spoke to my sister last night she told me he had been getting a bit breathless.  Now very worried that the cancer has spread (he had a large synovial sarcoma removed from his thigh in Aug 08) as the next place it could go to would be his lungs.  Feeling frightened.

    Hi Meredith

I've also got sarcoma (angiosarcoma in the blood vessels) and a recurrence is always a worry. And especially as check-up time approaches. If there is anything they will find it and deal with it. I've attached a link to the Sarcoma UK site, they may have some more information if the news is not so good. But of course at this time of year we all get coughs and colds so it may be nothing. But I'm crossing everything for your nephew. Please let us know how he gets on.

    love and gentle hugs

Thanks for the reply Sharry.  Just heard he has had all his scans done but no results.  Appointment on the 30th to see the Consultant.  I looked at the Sarcoma site when he was first diagnosed and it does have a lot of helpful information (and some a bit scary!).  The waiting is the worst, isn't it?  Fingers crossed it is just a cough/cold type thing but will post when the results are known.

Love and hugs back to you and keep well.

    Sue
