    Dads Ashes

I drove to Wales this morning, ( was meant to go last night) with a heavy heart..Saurday Dec 5th....Dads 65th birthday.....the day we scatter his ashes. Arrived at Dads didnt want to pull on to driveway, didnt want to go in and find him not there. Found some strength (brother nagging all the way) and went inside..I could smell him was convinced if I went in the lounge he would be there and this nightmare would be over, my heart was breaking but there in a black silk bag with a white rose on it was...

    X Factor

Ok you lot on the other side of the pond.  I'm already having withdrawal symptoms from X Factor.  I watched every single show until I flew back here last Monday.  Sad I know.

Did I miss much and who is going tomorrow.  I need to know.

    Karen's Catch-Up #5

    Thursday 3rd December

Plumber came back and sorted water - trouble is it's all brown. It's going to take a while to flow through. In the meantime, I don't trust it to wash in never mind drink. Wet wipes and bottled water for now. We rang environmental health and someone's coming out to test it next Wednesday. We have a spring supply and the plumber’s been looking at the junctions and piping in to the house - think a fair bit is going to be replaced which is great long-term. Boiler's being replaced...

    surgon say ok

Visit to surgeon went well he thinks the swelling is in my sliver-gland and not the thyroid glands.

He has booked me in to have a full body scan just to make sure every things OK. I know I'm getting better each week we're taking the dogs out most days and the walks are lasting about an hour. Still needing a sleep most afternoons. Stomach ache after eating still. Taking pain killers morning and night to help but I was told it would be a slow process to get back to full strength. After reading...

How can good news turn to bad so fast? latest
Very slightly better news yesterday. G's kidney function was maginally better, and the stool sample came back negative for infections. Latest thinking is that is a cumulative reaction to the chemo, so doctors now hope it can eventually be sorted, possibley may settle of own accord. After alot of pressure, we have the name the consultant who is responsible for his care, although I understand his speciallity is diabtetes, urinary medicine for the trust has been re-located to another hospital,...
