Not sure what tomorrow will bring

    Hello to all.

Well tomorrow is d-day will it or won't it have travelled to any other organs.

I have to tell you that I'm absolutely terrified but whatever the outcome I'm not ready to give up yet.

Still waiting for some pain relief but think I'm learning to deal with it better, but me hubby and daughter went out to dinner and I still can't sit on a dining chair without serious pain but food was lovely.

I adore the sun and have been looking forward to sitting in conservatory...

  • Immunity and mesothelioma
    immunity and mesothelioma

I have been reading an American site tonight that suggests some people have extended their prognosis by improving their immunity through diet and supplements? My dad was diagnosed last week and I desperate for something positive to cling to? Does anyone know if there is any other info out there on this subject of if it is unsubstantiated?

Its a bitter sweet symphony this life......

Its 3 years today that I was diagnosed with breast cancer.  It was a beautifully sunny day much like today.  It was a day filled with sadness in many ways too.  I went to a funeral that morning with my mum as one of our old neighbours from when I was growing up had passed away.  His name was Mr Cross and he was a lovely man.  He grew vegetables in his garden and used to bring things for us like runner beans. It was a really lovely service and I just remember how sad his family were.

    After the funeral...

  • Getting on with it
    Nervous about 1st ABVD

I'm putting on a brave face as my family have been through so much (my big sister had almost 2 years out with severe chrons disease and is just now back to normal at the time when I have been diagnosed with classic HL nodular sclerosing stage 3 B).

My i'm on my own this morning and I am not feeling as brave or positive.  I know my prognosis is very good but am so worried that the chemo is going to kick me around on the floor when i am already so very tired...sleeping has been a real issue...

  • How to Help your Mum Survive Pancreatic Cancer or Not
    Some news

I have not written on here for a while as we have just been getting on with things. My mum is surviving on chemo, she is ill for about 3 days a week and very tired the rest of the time. It is unfortunate that the majority of times people write on here it will be bad news or at least when I am feeling upset.

This week the news has felt a little strange. Mummy and Daddy went to see the oncologist for the results of a CT scan and the general consensus was "It's under control". This means that the primary...

    Not good scan results!!

    :hiya: Everyone,

I have come away for the week with my dh and the kids, we have rented a house at the beach.

Unfortunately dads scan showed that the tumours have resisted the chemo and have continued to grow although not at the rate that they would have done without the chemo according to the consultant. Its devastating news but neither dad nor his doctor are prepared to give up yet....they have got him booked in for BEP chemo as an in patient starting on Monday...unfortunately i have had this...
