Any tips for saliva constant/excessive spitting for throat cancer patient

My dad has throat and lung cancer ,started chemo but his constant spitting is getting him down been told by doctors it happens and if chemo is succsesful it should get better ,just wondering if anybody has had a similar experience and has any tips to ease it .

my husband had lung cancer and used to spit a lot the only thing to do is use man sized tissues and just get it all up and everyone around to be sympethetic,its hard journey.

My partner had this spitting all the time he was given anti sickness tablets ,they did help a little ,but his your dad eating anything ,we found that when kev ate he wasent as sick

He's trying his best to eat but its not going to easy for him at the minute ,hopefully it will get better thanks for the help i'll see about the anti sickness tablets ,things are just really hard at the moment if it wasnt enought with the cancer and the chemo aswell as the eating and swallowing ,spitting but i guess he's not the first person to go through it ,Thanks again anyway
