    Decisions, Decisions !!!

    Hi all,

I have seen my consultant today to get the results of my CT scan and the news is not so good. The Caelyx is not working and so the remaining cycles have been cancelled. I now have three options to consider before returning to see him on 28th June.

Firstly, he would be happy for me to have a break from chemo for a few months, especially as I feel good and my energy levels are fine. I would be regularly monitored with blood tests and scans throughout. Option 2 is to test my original cancer...

    Feeling sorry for myself.

Sitting here on a rare! sunny day in scotland feeling so sorry for myself.  Feeling awful, no energy, bones and muscles ache and feel like yuk.  Just got one of six chemo out of the way and it seems such a long road.  Know its a lot worse for other people, just feel so helpless.  My situation is complicated by the fact I have a disabled son who is in the family home being looked after and I am in a flat with with my friend being looked after, I just want to be home looking after my son, to hear him moan...

    Saying goodbye & feeling helpless

Well I don't do many blogs to be honest, but I do read through this site regularly.

I've not been on this site a full year yet, but I certainly have learnt a lot and met some lovely people. I'm older , wiser (still learning) and a damn site greyer (anybody know a good hair dye that actually covers up grey ?) A friend of ours from my scuba-diving days has just recently been told his treatment is to be stopped (what little he has had) and he will be sent home with painkillers. This friend is...

    OMG! Here we go! (No.3)

    Hi Guys

I am now home after having my double mastectomy last Wednesday.  I can honestly say (especially for those out there facing the same thing) it was not as bad as I imagined.  Op on Wednesday home by Friday evening after drains were taken out (not painful at all, but just a weird sensation) and am finding that I do get tired after a few hours, so a good excuse for a lie-down!  My chest is not painful at all, just a little sore, although I can only sleep on my back!  Seem to have a little fluid...

    Esophageal Stage 3 Cancer

I had a hard time figuring out how to post anything, and if I've done anything wrong by going about it this way, I apologize.

I just scared my partner and a&e

I had 2nd chemo on the 4th of June and I have been fine. I have been indoors and decided to go to church today because I feel so strong. My daughter was given lunch in the kid's church and I fed her and also ate from it. We got back home and I laid on the couch watching movie and I started feeling dizzy. I tried to calm down but it was as if i was suddenly drained out. I called my partner but before he came to my side, I had collapsed. That didnt last long but I started vomitting and stooling and...
