Things change, but do not get easier. The journey seems long.
I am monitoring heart rate and bp now, adjusting meds Melatonin lowers bp, so adding that must be cut back. Then I do not sleep as well.
Difficulty breathing, digestive problems, dizziness. This is a full time job, especially when eventually it all affects one's spirit.
I have been blessed by friends, prayers. So I am thankful for a support systrm, though I have no family nearby other than my husband.

I had my blood test today ready for my second fec cycle on Monday. I feel fine although my hair has started falling out. Hopefully no problem with blood, not sure if they would let me know before travelling to the hospital. I am not as scared now I know what to expect at the clinic, not pleasant but got to go through it. Have been told that I will be prescribed Anastrozole at the end of my treatment and will be on it for years.
Just received a call from the infusion center reference my scheduled chemo treatment days and the regiment (GC) program they well start me off with, this coming Wed morning. I already have a scheduled appointment to have a (PET) scan on Monday to see if its has spread anywhere else besides the inter bladder wall. Not sure what to expect and how the treatment well affect me, just what I've read online about others. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. I know these next 3months well be a long...
Today is a sort of special.
It's 12 months since I got my motorcycle.
I've mentioned the bike in previous posts but, for me, there's one thing special about having it. It has given me a longer-term view of my remaining time on this planet.
I generally have trouble imagining myself more than a few months down the road. This isn't just because of the terminal cancer (I was given 1 to 10 years in 2015). It's also because of depression which pre-dates the cancer. I have recurring thoughts...
I've just completed the third of four post-op chemo sessions and feeling not too bad.
After my last session I was still suffering slightly with neuropathy in my fingers. The oncologist decided that he would would remove the Oxaliplatin and only give me the other three drugs (Docetaxel, Leucovarin and 5-FU). I am a bit concerned that by removing that drug it makes the treatment less effective. I couldn't really get him to answer that. He said that many people cannot tolerate chemo after surgery...
So it’s only been a week since my hysteroscopy, so a week since my biopsy’s were taken. That means it will probably be another 2 weeks until I have the results. But then after the results it will go to the MDT so it’s likely to be weeks before I actually know a treatment plan.
For someone with chronic depression and anxiety, this waiting period is hell.
I can’t sleep at night, and when I do I have horrible dreams and wake up throughout the night. It’s really horrible. I hate not knowing....
