    Happy New Year
Happy New Year to one and all. Happy Birthday to me 48 tomorrow, have promised my self a fab 50th in a couple of years time. Thanks for all the gentle kicks up the bottom you guy's, unfortunatley can't walk the dogs on my own just yet, get breathless and wobbly legged too easy, but I have been in town with my daughter-in-law today, and am going to the pub for an hour tonight.Should be ok as long as I get a chair with my lemonade, and don't stay out too long. Probably means that tomorrow will be spent...

    Help / Advice Please
Help please ! My dad is very frail and but still eating a little he has been been constantly burping for over a week. His GP, Community Nurse & Macmillan Nurse have no idea why (unaware of it as a side effect from any of his medications) Has anyone else had experience of this before ? Have read lots of blogs and saw a medication called carbamazepine which apparently stops the body going into spasm, will suggest this as the poor man is exhausted and also if he burps and coughs at the same time...

    31st December 2008
Now we are on the last day of 2008, and what a year. It started off with us both working like mad and just catching up when possible, to looking forward to a fortnights hols which were brilliant. Then a lump found but surely nothing to worry about, and then fear. The last few months have passed quickly and slowly, looking back it seems no time since we went to see the urologist, then the op, then the follow ups, but at the same time it feels like everything is happening in slow motion, waiting...

    A run in with Anaesthetist.
This is my 2nd go at writhing a blog. I did try before Christmas, but I clicked on a wrong button and lost the WHOLE BLOG. I was not very happy. Anyway I am going to try again. I finished my last one when Stephen was in Hospital. When we arrived at our local hospital, we got Stephen to get changed and said that the Doc wanted to see him. I had not told him that he was going to have an operation as I thought it might cause him too much stress and it was quit possible that he would refuse to have...

    Tired or just bone idle
They told me that one of the side affects of Radium would be lethergy, so ok the odd day on the sofa I thought, but its been weeks now, and unless I have something specific to do or some where specific to go, such as out for lunch on xmas day, I find my self lounging about all day, with just the mundane tasks of making the tea in time for my hubby getting home from work feeling like too much bother.Ok there are day's when I really am just too tired to do anything, but I'm slowly coming to the realization...

Where does life go from here?
Hi hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and will have a great new year... On December 22 I went to the drs for a mass around my heart that the drs had found.. Thinking it was something wrong with my heart I was in total shock when the informed me that they are 95% sure its thymoma cancer and that the mass stretches from the base of my throat to underneath my right lung so its of quite extensive size.. I had a bunch of bunch of bloodwork done on tuesday and go see a thoracic surgeon on Jan 2 for...
