31st December 2008

1 minute read time.
Now we are on the last day of 2008, and what a year. It started off with us both working like mad and just catching up when possible, to looking forward to a fortnights hols which were brilliant. Then a lump found but surely nothing to worry about, and then fear. The last few months have passed quickly and slowly, looking back it seems no time since we went to see the urologist, then the op, then the follow ups, but at the same time it feels like everything is happening in slow motion, waiting for this result, waiting for that test. Very weird. Christmas has been good but tiring for my hormonal husband who falls asleep anytime anyplace anywhere (What was that advert again). Having all the kids home for Christmas was brilliant, however too much time was taken up with stressing over the size of the turkey, was it going to fit in the oven or was I going to have to perform surgery on it. Next year Im going to wangle an invite to someone elses house and someone elses stress. (Only joking) Its been good this last week or so for Colin to have all the family around him and particularly our kids who have given him a much needed boost. Our baby had her 21st birthday party on Sunday and that was a great day all round. So lots of positives too. Wishing everyone out there a Happy New Year, with praying that we are all given the strength that we need to do what we need to. With Love
