Yippee, finished my last chemo this week, only had six but seems like it lasted forever and then went in quick, if that makes sense. Have to go for a scan in three weeks then take it from there!!! Dont know how I feel, its strange not to be planning your life in three week cycles. Not sure what to feel, dont want to be too optimistic dont want to be doom and gloom, that cancer is a strange one, you just dont know how it is going to change you. So i start my new job at the hospital tomorrow and i have butterflies as big as elephants.
I have my trust induction and my ward induction monday and tuesday and nursing and midwifery induction wednesday, thursday and friday. Then i'll be doing 38 hours a week on the wards .
I am excited this is what i want to do, i have had my kids they are all at primary school now, this is my time now!!! I am 31 in 2 weeks, i have to do something for me.
Dad wanted me to do this, i am doing it for me but...
Im in such a sad place at the moment. I cant stop crying as I write this. Why do we have to go through so much pain. I ask a friend on here what do I say and she said just write from the heart. My wonderful dad was diognoised on the 8 March with oesophagus cancer. Went through lots of tests and could only have 10 days of radiotherapy which nearly killed him. But dad has been so strong and never once complained. He has now been put in the hands of willen hospice and no more can be done. I see the pain...
I have come to the conclusion now that i cant cope being a full time carer. There for i have decided to put mum in to full time residental care. to much has gone on in my family it has torn us apart i now feel i have to take charge and get my family back in to some form of normality dunno how thats gonna work i have 2 girls aged 10 & 6 that is depressed with all thats going on and my son has left to stay with his dad full time but thats gonna change i just dont have the will to go on no more i am...
Hi everyone, so much has happened since i was last on here, errol was poorly and needed a blood transfusion , home again but still not feeling so good,,, then he started with a cough doctor said it might be a chest infection so a course of antibiotics were taken,,,,
trials for birmingham were coming up but i was sure that errol was not well enough ,, but nothing was going to stop him taking part thats for sure,,,, then we found out that he needed a heart scan before they would consider him doing...
october 1st - well alls still good in lisa land!!! trev still doing soooo well....been a little tired at some points but still not as tired as before chemo!! the mac nurses really pleased with him!! he still has loadsa energy and is gettin up on a mornin...shaved and reay etc etc..then we try and do somethin in the day...getting bits for his new house....goin for walks etc. its nice really!!
tonight.....after being together for 7 months.....and after illness...cancer diagnosis....biopsies....peg...
Is anyone struggling with Aches in Limbs, tiredness , general feeling of not feeling well this is 11 months after radiotherapy finished. I also saw on mammagram check up lots of metal markers, I had a job to find out what they were but eventually got told that they mark the base of where the tumour was. Has any one found this as well?
A couple of quite good days, although the nights haven't been too good, waking and being uncomfortable.We've discussed this and decided to use the anxiety/sleeping pill when she goes to bed, and will hopefully allow here to sleep longer, if this does occur she'll move to her chair (with a gel pillow) when she wakes up and let her doze there. At the moment she's taking a lot of morphine at night and none during the day, which I think is making her sleepy during the day. If not we'll think again, it...
