So it is 10 months today since Dad left us.I can't believe it has been that long since i last spoke to him.
Last night i had a dream, it was a lovely dream for the most of it. I was in a field full of poppys a beautiful red field and in this field were lots of horses. My Dad was there with me and it was normal as if he hadn't been gone for 10 months. Dad and i rode the horses. I got off mine to have a sit down and at that point Dad rode away on his horse right into the distance and as i shouted...
My Dad passed away a few months after being diagnosed with cancer. I helped looked after him until the end and now don`t know what to do without him. He was my rock, whenever i needed him he was there, and now i`m so lost without him. I just can`t get used to the fact that i`m not going to see him again. It hurts so much....
well not a bad day today for my mom she's had her hair done and had somrthing to eat which is a big bonus. I think she even looks a bit better today

I've just posted a new blog post: http://veryyoungwidow.blogspot.com/2011/05/other-people.html
The reason why I've written it is because I'm upset because I feel my housemate is rubbing it in my face that he has an alive girlfriend who can still come and visit him at weekends. Not intentionally I hope, but he didn't even think to ask me if it was ok for her to be here. Honestly I probably would have said no because it hurts to see it; we loved our weekends together and I keep thinking of how...
Hi Im new to this site and my dad has stomach/pancratic cancer. He is 74 and I have to say this is the worst experience of my life. I would just like to hear from other people who are going through the same.
I feel so angry at times which is so out of character. They have just advised us at Christies that the tumour has only shrunk 1cm - therefore they stopped the treatment on Monday. They have said it is time and to watch for signs. What is it we are looking for. We are so confused as a family.
...MM check up this morning. told there is an atypical mole on my back. here is the photo. she said they can cut it out if i wish but not to stress over it and just keep an eye on it for now....why is it when a doctor or consulant say "dont owrry or dont stress" you do anyway....surely cutting the thing out isnt my decision to make... its either melanoma or it isnt... the A B C D E signs are all there...the consultant told me they are but...dont stress?? what would you do?

Took hubby back in last night for the final round. He was exhausted and needed platelets, blood etc but they kept him waiting hour and half at 9.30 at night for his bed.
Lift was broken too so we had to walk up 2 flights of stairs with 4 bags so he was breathing really heavily and not feeling too good.
I hope they sorted him last night and going to see him today and taking birthday cake so hope he is feeling lots better.
I also hope this was just a glitch and in 2 weeks time they will send him...

Too many highs and lows this week. Today was a good day though as it was first day in the office since I was told about my 'mass' and my last day before our holiday. I got loads done and it felt pretty 'normal' and was a relief after the unexpected excitement of the last two weeks. Although my line manager was aware of the situation I also briefed my fellow manager colleagues today but stressed until I have my results I don't want the rest of the staff told anything.
So I clocked...
