ATYPICAL MOLE ON THE BACK...1 year 1 month after WLE

MM check up this morning. told there is an atypical mole on my back. here is the photo. she said they can cut it out if i wish but not to stress over it and just keep an eye on it for now....why is it when a doctor or consulant say "dont owrry or dont stress" you do anyway....surely cutting the thing out isnt my decision to make... its either melanoma or it isnt... the A B C D E signs are all there...the consultant told me they are but...dont stress?? what would you do?
Hello Peter, if the mole changes at all, then cut it out. You've been through hell already so you know the drill - its always easy to say 'don't worry' as the doctors are dealing with numbers not people. However, try to just chill, keep it out of the sun and deal with your mole as and when anything occurs. You will drive yourself mad with worry so choose to deal with things one step at a time - you've come such a long way and I hope you stay on that road. Ann x
