Survived the surgery quite well, made a good recovery and went back to work after two weeks, might not have been the best idea I ever had. I still feel tired and at least not so confused, after receiving histology results, no surprise there, I phoned my consultant who was extremely helpful and explained all the questions that I had running through my head. Just received my first appointment (one of many) to recheck my bladder, obviously not loooking forward to going into day surgery but needs must...

Many of you are friends of Alex known as amunro36 on this site.

Some one just PM'd me this
, i wanted to post it as it is so beautiful.
Please don’t mourn for me
I’m still here, though you don’t see.
I’m right by your side each night and day
And within your heart I long to stay.
My body is gone but I’m always near
I’m everything you feel, see and hear.
My spirit is free but I’ll never depart
As long as you keep me alive in your heart.
I’ll never wander out of your sight.
I’m the brightest star on a warm summer night....
Can't believe its been a year dad, we went to your favourite place today, felt so close to you.

First day of my second 5 day chemo was yesterday Thu 7th July, should have started the day before (Wednesday) before but there wasn't a bed available, feeling fine, the first session was a bit of a learning experience but I feel more prepared with an idea what'll be happening this time round.
Had a bit of a rough time with mouth ulcers & bowel problems after the first session but after a week & half or so got these sorted and then got back to close to normal quite quickly, only lingering effects...
Well, we've had the meeting with the Consultant and the verdict is in. My husband has to have a stem cell transplant using donor cells. His sister is being tested for a match so I will update when I have news on that front and prior to that he has made the appointment to go in and have at least one sharp shot of chemo prior to the transplant. The chemo he is receiving is ESHAP and he has to stay in hospital for 5 days in order to receive it. He then comes home and rests for 2-3 weeks and then...
