HI, Im new to this. i am 34 years old and have just recently had my world turned upside down, inside out and begining to think i'm on a never ending roller coaster. I am married and have 4 children (12, 10, 3 and 8 months). Ten months ago while I was pregnent my husband had blood in his urine and a lingering cough. I sent him to the doctors and after lots of tests it was discovered he had advanced kidney cancer, that had also spread to his lungs. At the same time we discovered I had placenta...
It don't seem any easier yet. That tense tonight I had a glass of wine to try and relax. I won't make a habit of drinking, its just there was a glass left from the weekend before last, when some friends were round.
I talk to Julies photo.
I miss her.
I feel lonely in the company of friends.
My life does not have any purpose.
My name is Penny and my husband was diagnosed with malignant melanoma in April, he has had most of his left shoulder removed and an axillary clearance in his armpit done, he has now been told that the melanoma is in the lymph nodes in his neck and has to have a neck dissection done next week, this has really rocked us as a family, every thing is happening so fast. My job involves dealing with tissue samples in a histology lab so every operation that my husband has had comes to where i work, and it...
Tomorrow I will be moving accross country to be nearer my family. We came here to the Midlands when Gary's job moved twenty years ago. The plan was always to go back south when we retired. Sadly it was not to be, and I am making the return journey alone.
I would not say I have come to terms with losing Gary in such a cruel way, I doubt I ever will. Slowly, inch by inch, I am learning to cope without him, and accept what my counsellor calls "the next chapter of my life".
I am thankfull...
I lost my husband to NSCLC 26 days ago, and the massive sense of loss still overwhelms me on a daily basis. At just 51 he had everything, we had plans, hopes and dreams then suddenly 8 months ago we were hit by the steam train of cancer. Huge problems arose at various points ~ secondary cancer in the brain followed by the bones yet we always strived to protect our families and my husband bravely fought each day.
I sometimes feel I let him down ~ and the what if questions form in my head What if...

I received a letter from a Mrs. Grace Wu,a private investment wbanker
Apparently some donut with my surname instructed her to lodge $21 Million in some Chinese bank to be used for an investment in some business or other.
6 years later the Bank reported to her that the funds remained untouched and when she investigated further it turned out that the donut investor had only gone and got himself killed in a hiking accident in...
Hi All
Very new to this and not quite sure how it will work, I am looking for some advice and support as i am trying to come to terms with my Mums breast cancer, she has just had her second lot of chemo (on Friday) but was hospitalised with sepsis after the first dose in week two. Consultant gave her the option to give up the treatment as there is a risk it may happen again but she refused and is carrying on. I am finding it really hard to see her unwell, she has never been poorly, i'm an only child...
