I think I'd like to keep a record on a weekly basis where possible; I like to know where I've been and think about where I'm going.
We learned about Nana's terminal cancer last Friday. It was both a shock and not one, as we knew she was ill and had thought it was one thing until a few days before. Pat spent 2 nights in hospital last weekend due to severe chest pain. It was in fact a bad Angina attack and no further damage has been done to his heart since his heart attack 2 years ago. We have now gained another Consultant who has put him on a slow release nitrate to go with the puffer. He is also doing a 24 home heart monitor test and reviewing him in 6 weeks. Octreotide (chemo for the Carcinoid) can affect the heart. He is quite good today and has lost quite a bit of weight due to reduction...

Arrived at 8 for and 8.30 appointment as we were worried about traffic, managed to park on the farm track so free parking for the day. Booked in then down to x-ray to have the nucular stuff injected and wandered around for an hour and a half waiting for it to work round my system. Back to have it x-rayed and nodes marked, everyone wishes you luck which I find very un-nearving then back to sugical admissions.

i was diagnosed with cancer of the womb yesterday and am awaiting results of the scan to see if my cancer is anywhere else.
