Hope readers appreciated the double take on yesterday's blog, at no extra charge!!! My chat with nutritionist yesterday may have revealed the cause of feeling sick. Apparently trying to flush my gastro tube with water quickly with syrlnge so as to feel the strange sensation of having a drink from the bottom up is not good 'tekkers'! Slowed it down before bed and lo and behold I didn't feel sick, best nights sleep for a while - until smoke alarm battery decided to die at 0730hrs, the warning beep...
He has had only two blasts and he said to me at 2 this afternoon, that he had a funny taste in his mouth
That can't be from the rt already can it?
I might add that it was "before" lunch and not my cooking :)
Given the fact that 1-2% possibility of late onset blindness WHY WHY WHY is it that luck has it that the mask (?) is making K have a fuzzy eye for about 3/4 of an hour after it is removed.
Give us a break please!!!!!!!!

Following a lovely fish and chip supper last night (loads of salt and vinegar) my taste buds this morning seem to be planning their (hopefully temporary) vacation. Despite drinking much more water than normal the inside of my mouth tastes of strange blandness, with saliva seeming much thicker. Still no pain to report which is great, but starting to feel more tired during the day. Can't understand why after 11 hours sleep I still feel tired when I woke up this morning? Didn't want to get up at all...
Ken had his first RT today.
A big talk with the big cheeses before helped him feel better. The fact that the surgeon will make sure that he will be able to breath through his nose somewhere at the end of this was a relief to him.
We were assured that nobody at Mount Vernon had lost their sight through this RT so that is a good thought.
The mask rested on his right eye too much so he had blurry vision afterwards so we will have to mention that tomorrow.

Firstly apologies for the formatting of these blogs, I tend to compose them on my phone whilst waiting for appointments, when cut and pasted the words wrap around at end of each line - I hope it still makes sense. Yesterday evening things caught up with me. The emotional, mental and physical experience saw me popping upstairs for 40 winks, which resulted in a much needed 3 hour power nap. Woke to the smell of sizzling steak which was dutifully devoured whilst watching a dour game of Eng v Germany...
