Day 4 - Tasteless Times.

1 minute read time.
Following a lovely fish and chip supper last night (loads of salt and vinegar) my taste buds this morning seem to be planning their (hopefully temporary) vacation. Despite drinking much more water than normal the inside of my mouth tastes of strange blandness, with saliva seeming much thicker. Still no pain to report which is great, but starting to feel more tired during the day. Can't understand why after 11 hours sleep I still feel tired when I woke up this morning? Didn't want to get up at all, but motivated myself to put on my cold weather running kit and do a 30 minute run. More of a jog than a run, but 'sure and steady wins the race' and it will be later in my recovery and rehab stages that I can add some sizzling pace, I keep reminding myself this is a marathon and not a sprint and just got to keep moving forward. Could only manage to keep down half a bowl of Frosties, I may as well have eaten the box as they tasted of sugar coated cardboard. My fears of not drinking enough water have been overturned, constant sipping is compulsory now to keep mouth moist, it dries up a bit after 4 mins. Down to southampton 'dejavu' trip, and a packed waiting room once again, who would have thought RT would be so popular? ! Concentrated on counting the individual zapps today - 83 in total for each sitting. I can now count down while motionless on the RT table. Quick bit of mental maths also tells me only 2158 individual blasts to go! That sound quite a lot doesn't it - guess I will stick to 26 sessions to go. An unremarkable journey home and a box of aloe vera skin cream waiting on my doorstep, things are coming together nicely.
