When we climbed up that hill,
And took in the view,
I felt there a chill,
As I know you came too.
The body destroyed,
The structure is gone,
But still hanging in there,
You still come along.
And trapped in a moment,
I'm out on a limb,
Indulged and excited,
A wish and a whim....
I know you are smiling,
Amused by the ride,
We are all now together,
Come what time, come what tide...
Last week we were in Penang, it is twenty five years since we were last there, half of my...
It's coming up to my mums first anniversary. She passed away last year on the 14th March after A 2 year battle with colon cancer that spread.
Im not sure why but I feel very nervous about it. Like it's the day I'm meant to do a test or something. I'm really worried about it.
I dont think I've really come to terms with my mums death at all. I was 26 weeks pregnant when she died and I've had my son to distract me for the past 8 months so I've not really had chance to think about it...
well in 4-5 weeks time i have another scan to see if there are only one or two germ cell cancerous nodules in my lungs, if so all well and good, as it be surgery for a possible cure,
and why not me? I. Mean other people have been cured by surgery so why not me??
but am i looking at this as vain hope, would the consultants lie to me? I mean nothing gone right so far? Should i be spending my money enjoying things as if inhad a few months left, or should i be cautious and know i have bills to pay if...
I am preparing for a mastectomy in ten days time. I live alone and am very active and involved in my village and church. The thing is - I'm worried about coming home with a drain and not having anyone on hand to help me empty it. A silly worry I am sure, but there we are. You watch videos on YouTube and there's always someone there to hold the tube, or help with the manoeuvres: I will have plenty of day time help but overnight I will be on my own. Any advice gladly received!
The other strange...
The odds were low,
The stakes were high,
We couldn't look,
Or else I'd cry,
Yet always hope,
I don't know why,
Ten years ago...
The nightmares real,
The hair a fake,
Those surgeons
and the mess they'd make,
I'm shaken up,
But didn't break,
Ten years ago...
How fortunate to be able to say this now, the last of my decade celebration! Back to work for me and looking forwards at blue skies from here -I wish you all calm waters x
Hardly eating. have urgent appt with Gastro, for cancer patients but doc said she doesnt hi nk I have cancer, worried about how long I may have left if positive. Doc sent me 4 ultrasnd said stomach/bowel are not seen time wasted.
It's now 4 weeks and 4 days since my surgery. I attended the outpatient clinic today and the doctor seems happy with my healing graft. I am to attend my next outpatient appointment in 4 weeks when the doctor expects the graft to be fully healed and no visible scarring!! I myself, have been feeling much better during the past few days and think I can visibly see healing and the graft site slowly looking smaller.
Cancer is a funny thing. It puts your life into perspective and in my world, a lot of good has come from it. I thought it might be nice to share the ‘Silver Lining’ of my dark days and this arduous journey.

last throw of the dice, saw.my consultant last friday who conformed there plan,
wait till the end of march rescan and see if surgery is still an option, if not then not good, this is all very well having it explainec to me its the best plan as if they wait till march
they get all th active disease out in one go, trouble is thats in 6 weeks time, an awful lot can happen in 6 weeks time, like umpteen more tumors appear and what could of been curative surgery becomes no surgery
Can anyone tell me how and if it is possible to get a copy of my pathology report from the hospital as I was not offered it when I was diagnosed back in 2010. I am absolutely fine at present and would just like to see it for myself.
