having spent the last year laying/sitting on the sofa staring at the orangey colour of the living room walls i have started painting them white! mick is laughing at my painting skills,,, i can only manage a bit of wall at a time so its getting done in bits!! he's filling in the holes between the stones on another wall to stop the mice coming in and to keep the heat in this winter - last year the heat kept the bikes (and the mice ) warm in the barn lol. my daughter has just sent new scan pics...
I will be having my second TAC chemo on Mon 16th if all ok with blood test. Last week whilst on holiday I spent two nights in Withybush Hospital with an infection. Hard to believe, as I had little contact with anyone or anything. However the staff were great and Dr Anne was fab and soon I was back enjoying the North Pembrokeshire coast with my husband and four year old son
I have been told by my consultant not to go to the office whilst having treatment due to the size of the open plan office and...

I thought I'd give blogging a go as since my husband Patrick was diagnosed with invasive bladder cancer in February I have found it therapeutic to write down what we are going through and how I'm feeling.
Pat underwent 3 rounds of chemo after diagnosis and 2 weeks ago had a radical cystectomy. He came home from hospital yesterday. Having him in the hospital brought to the surface the fear I have been feeling since his diagnosis. I'm hoping having thought through the different possibilities...
….returns! Dr Socks is back! He didn’t go to Cromer in a caravan, neither did he sail between exotic tropical islands and sadly I don’t think he bought himself any commemorative holiday socks…but he’s back. I was quite surprised at how pleased I was to see him. Not in a weak at the knees in awe of the great doctor way, I don’t do that sort of thing. Besides, when you’ve been told of the entertaining antics of the off-duty version it’d be hard to be in awe and...
Hi folks,
Just wanted to update on test today. Very nice pleasant female registrar, very gentle and understanding of my difficulties re mobility.
Anyway lining of uterus very normal apart from one polyp, which could be caused by Tamoxifen. Biopsy taken but she said she was very confident it is benign and wouldn't cause any probs. Will wait for results but not worried.
Take care all.
Love Vee. xx

Hi all
Was due to have the first chemo of the second cycle today. Woke up to pouring rain this morning, typical as I had done a load of washing to leave out while at the hospital. Then I drove my son to the train station in what appeared to be monsoon weather and as he got out of the car my mobile rang, " Quick",said hubby, "Come home now, the hospital have just rung and they want you to have another blood test as the one you had done yesterday was inconclusive !". "Oh sugar" I said (and if you...

Well I'm back home again after my hectic week away, starting with our WA picnic, then 5 days with my daughter and 2 grandaughters, then the drive back home. I hadn't realised (and I suppose I should have) that driving distances after nearly 2 years of only doing local driving would be very tiring. I think I'm over that now, and getting back to normal, (though my daughter came down yesterday and we had the afternoon out with them). Next week is my check up, after 2 months, and I have a...
