Has anyone been on these steroids for raised ALT?
My partners liver has been up and down and there is no reason why.
He has been from 60mg to 2.5mg, now he is back on 10mg. His blood results keep fluctuating. How long have people been on these steroids for?
Is it safe to be on these for such a long time?

I don't have the experience you're looking for but I noticed that you hadn't had any replies yet. I typed 'prednisolone' into this group's search bar but only found one other post which mentions it and that was 7 years old.
You could post your question in the ask a nurse section of the online community but the nurses might say that your husband's CNS or consultant would be best placed to answer whether it's safe for your partner to be on these steroids for a long time as they have access to all his medical records.
