Hi, my mother 69 years old got diagnosed with linitus plastica about three months ago. She has undergone 4 rounds of FLOT plus two immunotherapy infusions. Her last chemotherapy has been brutal, she got neutropenic and was admitted to the hospital with fever, had high dose antibiotics but started to develop side effects. Fever came down and was discharged but now has fever again. What can we do now?
I am so sorry to hear about your mum, it must be so distressing for you and your family. The treatment is hard and hopefully the medical team will provide support, as well as change the treatment.
All you can do in these situations is be there for her. I know how much it helped me when I was going through treatment.
