Hi does anybody know if bile is as good in killing bacteria as stomach acid? If you got a stomach your acid kills a lot of bacteria protecting you from illness, but people with no stomach have only got bile, so wondering bile is as good, or are people without a stomach classed as vulnerable?
Hi freeflow
I assume that you're asking this because you're concerned that you might be classed as vulnerable with coronavirus around. This link will take you to Macmillan's page on cancer and coronavirus and, if it doesn't cover what you need to know, the best thing to do would be to contact your CNS as they should be able to advise you.
When you have a minute it would be useful if could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it really helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
