Hi Angua
Shut up women , your not pathetic ! I felt the same about my left boob . I have hard mass at the bottom ( under physio for ) and it’s a distinctly different shape to the right ( which has always been well behaved ) . My left boob looks almost square in comparison . Initially I felt the same as you putting cream on this boob . Breathe , relax , don’t press too hard and use plenty .
Your be alright kid

Hi
Sorry to hear you feel like this. You have been through a lot and maybe your mind hasn’t quite caught up with you body. You are grieving for your old self and that’s normal.
We all had hard lumpy numb bits after surgery but they are our battle scars and will heal and soften in time.
Take a deep breath and moisturise.
Maybe some counselling will help you come to terms with what has happened or talk to MacMillan about how you feel.
Take care x
Definitely not pathetic. Your body and your boob(s) have been through a lot. I do have hardness at the bottom of my boob too (fluid) and now being on tamoxifen generally dry skin and I have to rub in moisturiser with a mirror as I too still have some numb areas and I can't see or feel where its going. Its just another change but hopefully not for long. I'm nearly 3 months post rads. It does take time for the skin and yourself to heal never mind the mental and emotional aspect. Keep going. every day is another day of it healing. You have managed a lot of turmoil (as we all have) so give yourself a pat on the back. Keep going..one day at a time xx
Thank you all for your support, I’ve gritted my teeth and done it today.
Ask for a zoom consultation to show them at the RT department ?

I'm having the 5 day treatment! I feel so lucky, as I was dreading the journey five days a week for three weeks, especially during January when the weather can be bad. Waiting for my planning appointment now. I was also told I may not have to do the breath hold as it all depends whereabouts the heart sits, but I'm practising just in case.
I know how you feel, I very rarely even look at my boob, so to moisturise is not good. But, I have found that if I put the moisturiser in the palm of my hand, instead of finger tips, I can't feel the lumps and dent as much. Hope this helps. Pathetic, hell no!
