I am about to start chemo next week for breast cancer.
i know i need to avoid certain foods but am struggling to find out if honey should be avoided.
one article says it can be used to help with the mouth ulcers and another article says it’s raw so should be avoided
can anybody help?
Hi, I was told to treat my chemo diet like a pregnancy diet, so no raw eggs, brie etc. I am not sure about honey, but I am sure if you give the lovely folks at Macmillan a call on 0800 808 0000 they will be able to advise. The helpline is open 8am to 8pm daily. Best wishes with your chemo.
As Irishgirl16 says, eat as if you are pregnant was the advice to me. You can eat heat treated honey but not raw, all the best x
