  • Hi

    How are you getting on?

Hope things are going smoothly now x

  • I didn’t have to do the breathe hold , thank god as initially they said I had to for both breasts!

Anyway on the morning for my first RT my oncologist phoned to say I didn’t have to .
Wise to keep practising tho .

Thank god it is 5 days . I had the 15 day stretch and it is knackering going in and out every day . Especially if your journey is a tricky one .

5 days will fly by .

Im still itchy , 7 days post . Keep applying the creams and hoping for the best !

  • Hi Penelope

    How are you?

Hope you are starting to feel better

    Hugs x

  • That’s weird…. We posted at the same time  x

  • Oh thank you . I actually ventured out with a friend yesterday ! Went to Greenwich market and had a pub lunch . Felt , dare I say , a bit normal ?

Across my chest is itchy and red but paracetamol and anti histamine helps . Using the double base cream and Aveeno . Given up on the aloe Vera , didn’t do anything and just flaked off .

Seeing the oncologist on Tuesday . Holding my breath that this is if for me regarding SE. Dare I say I deserve a little bit of luck ?

Hope you are well ? Have your aches eased up a bit now ?

    Penelope xx

  • That’s great news that you are starting to feel more normal now. I have been thinking of you and hoping things are improving.

I’m still a bit achy but I’ve stared taking cod liver oil capsules and they seem to be helping. Also on the plus side no hot flushes for two weeks now so the acupuncture is working.

All in all things seem to be on the up for both of us …. Long may it continue !

    Much love x

  • Hi Exraygirl,

thank you for asking, things have really improved. set up is very smooth and I am in and out in 20-30 minutes.Done 6/15 .

So really pleased we got through it. I do have a bit of swelling below my knee, which I am hoping is not lyphadeama .this used to crop up once in a while , before the Big C, but used to go away. after taking , lertosol , I am thinking it maybe from that as it affected my joints.Hopefully it’s not the radio therapy and they won’t delay it

Gald to hear you are doing ok. you are helping others but you too are going on your journey.

    Wishing you all the best

     xxx

  • Hi Kiki

Glad  things have settled down for you.

    onwards and upwards!

Your knee won’t be anything to do with RT

wishing you all the best going forwards x

    Hi Angus 1,

Not lame at all, I am having trouble adjusting to my  altered breast too and don’t like to touch it. I find it easier if I use my palms of both hands and avoid touching it with the tips of my fingers.

I rub the cream between my palms to warm it up and then quickly but gently rub both over my whole breast area.

    hope that helps,

    x
