I just wanted to share with you all a recent Community News blog series which has been written Willo, who is know on the Community as patsyann85, about her experience of being diagnosed with Anal cancer while living in Zambia in 1986.
Willo shares her experiences of diagnosis, treatment, and everything in between as well as some of her amazing art work in the series.

Hi Bev, so pleased to hear all was well with your last check up - and hope likewise with your next one. Yes it would be good if everything returned to 'normal' after treatment. I understand radiotherapy is much more targeted these days compared to how it was 30 years ago, but I'm just thankful I'm alive and kicking. Willo

Hi everyone,
I hope you don't mind me posting here today - it's Rachel from the Community team. I just wanted to share with you all the latest volume of our Community News Blog series 'Cancer & me 35 years on'.
In the latest volume, 'Surgery at St. Mary's', Willo shares her experiences of attending multiple appointments and undergoing several tests to try to understand what is causing the pain and other symptoms she is experiencing.
As Willo shared her experience of what can be a difficult time for cancer patients, waiting for test results, this blog is also a discussion of how to cope with the understandable anxiety that waiting for information about your health can bring.
